It would revolutionize life in america, and make healthcare on par with other modernized nations. - A

Messino Posted December 23, 2009 Share #4 Posted December 23, 2009 Yeah sure, have MADATORY health care so that the next time some H1N1 Swine flue scam comes around they FORCE you to get the vaccine even thought its not completely safe or tested and more people die of the regular flu every year than H1N1. Kiss your rights and freedoms goodbye more and more every day.
R68 Subway Car Posted December 23, 2009 Share #5 Posted December 23, 2009 I find it amazing that people believe that the same government that cant run a transit system and keep fares low and service at par is the same government people can trust to take care of our help. If this bill is passed, God help us.
MattTrain Posted December 23, 2009 Share #6 Posted December 23, 2009 The Senate has failed big time on this health issue. This was just nothing but back and forth bickering.

Grand Concourse Posted December 23, 2009 Share #9 Posted December 23, 2009 This. The expansion of government grows and grows and grows. Sadly so... if you think Bloomberg's nanny state rules are bad, this will be far worse.

If this bill is passed, God help us. Yeah well the problem is the United States is really a corporation not a country. It is actully registered as a copration in London England Just as the Crowns other corporations.. If the government was actually there and really interested in protecting your life, liberty and property, they wouldnt be the first ones to threaten to take it away from you
SubwayGuy Posted December 23, 2009 Share #11 Posted December 23, 2009 This. The expansion of government grows and grows and grows. That's not the issue. The issue is that this bill is a POS which requires people to pay into private industry, which remains unregulated. Had they done so, you would have been better off with a single payer system where the government managed everything. *WHAT YOU SAY???* OH NOES THE SOCIALISM!!!* BZZT wrong. That's what the MEDIA want you to think again. But because of that and the lobbying efforts of a few corporations, business groups, special interests groups, and the sensationalism of a few idiots out in Podunk who haven't seen fit to educate themselves on the real issues who get in front of a microphone for the 10 o'clock news... ...you got screwed by the Senate. A True Democratic Bill (without these joke comprimises) likely would have improved the system. A True Republican Bill (without these joke comprimises) likely would have improved the system. Instead you get a combined "Scratch my back and I'll scratch yours" semi-bipartisan clusterf*** that will leave more Americans in the s***er than ever before in the sense that now rather than being uncovered, they will actually owe money for going without coverage, only this time in addition to the sick, many of these people will be perfectly healthy...and perfectly bankrupt
