Joe Posted December 23, 2009 Share #1 Posted December 23, 2009 I thought i'd document just a typical day on the railroad here. We'll start off by showing BNSF 3702 picking up two boxcars off of the industrial siding. After finishing up that switching job, the crew awaits permission to enter the main at the switch...passenger trains are superior to freights on this road. The Orange Blossom Special (I know, it's not, but Cash > you) pulls out of the siding and the last car finally clears the switch. Heading on the flyover over the main... After completing its run, it heads back to the passenger yard, where LIRR 464 is due to leave, but it seems whoever backed in UP 4841 left the engine fouling the switch! Luckily neither locomotive was damaged in the incident, so 464 heads out only an hour late. Thanks for reading this woefully mundane photostory.
