Harry Posted June 30, 2007 Share #1 Posted June 30, 2007 Post any LIRR hot spots you know to catch some LIRR trains in action. Preferably they should be going 40+ mph either in between stations or at an express station.
Harry Posted June 30, 2007 Author Share #2 Posted June 30, 2007 From the Hollis Station in Hollis Queens you can catch some good LIRR action. Most trains are running express. Alternatively on 190th Street and Hollis Avenue (between Jamaica Station & Hollis Station) there's a LIRR trestle that if you climb up on the hill on the northwest side of the trestle there's a small opening by a fence that you can get access into the tracks and get some good views of express and local trains. The opening of fence is right in front of the local tracks so stop, look and listen for any oncoming trains (not recommended).
