New rails, base & tie plates and Pandrol clips

The 4th Avenue express lines from 36th Street station to 59th Street station are finished receiving brand new fresh rusty rails, base plates, tie plates and changed over to Pandrol clips. The express trains sound a lot smoother flyin' by now.

Also, I'm noticing that the in different sections of the 14th Street station tracks are receiving new base plates, tie plates and changed over from spikes to Pandrol clips.

Do you have photos?

I'll try and get them.

[correction]

The Manhattan bound [North] 4th Avenue express tracks from 59th Street to 36th Street have new rails and equipment only. Not the Bay Ridge/Coney Island bound like I originally posted.

Yea, I agree with your assessment, Harry.

Additionally, I think they replaced something north of 25th Street. Usually the R160 would jolt before entering 25th Street on the express tracks. Currently, it glides through 25th without problems. I think they updated the Coney Island express tracks at 59th. Otherwise, the 59th through 36th segment is great!

I have some pics. Will post some soon.
