Far Rock Depot Posted January 9, 2010 Share #26 Posted January 9, 2010 I don't see any Shoreline East trains in the pictures, so where did you get ConnDOT from? look at the 12th picture down in the OP. Its an Ex-Amtrak P40 Diesel with a SLE logo on it an if you examine the side of its consist, you can see they are Bombardier Comets. ConnDOT and MTA/MNR have a few of them. No, those are Mafersa ex-VRE coaches. SLE used Bomb Shoreliner cab cars while the VRE cabs were being refurbished. These aren't allowed in GCT, as they have manual doors. This is the Shoreliner cab car arrangement I was talking about. You can see the VRE car behind it. IINM, all Shoreliners are used my MN now and not by CT. Paul P Posted January 19, 2010 Author Share #46 Posted January 19, 2010 How come manual doors are not alloewd into GCT? I tough it wasn't an issue I would make an educated guess relying on the big number of people using a train with manual doors would result in a big hassle.
