DOB2RTO Posted January 9, 2008 Share #2 Posted January 9, 2008 There is more to the story here: http://www.ny1.com/ny1/content/index.jsp?stid=1&aid=77322 The first involved two buses hitting one another, and the second happened later in which a 3rd bus rear ended a car. Well guess I'll get ready for plenty of undercover rides, and superintendents hiding at large intersections, this month.......
Pablo M 201 Posted January 9, 2008 Share #3 Posted January 9, 2008 Damn, the driver is definately hurt. You see how the front of the bus is smashed?
TransitGuy Posted January 9, 2008 Share #4 Posted January 9, 2008 Oh man that looks bad. I hope the b/o and the passengers recover fully and safely. As for the bus, in my opinion I highly doubt it will see service again. Thankfully nobody is dead.

Pablo M 201 Posted January 10, 2008 Share #7 Posted January 10, 2008 Oh man that looks bad. I hope the b/o and the passengers recover fully and safely. As for the bus, in my opinion I highly doubt it will see service again. Thankfully nobody is dead. If the MTA gets to work with that bus, they can fix it and put it back on the road. Remember that NJT Nova crash last year in North Bergen? That bus was repaired and put back on the road VERY recent. And that bus was in an even worst accident than 9656! I haven't seen it yet, but heard you can't even tell the bus was in an accident. NJT is good with fixing up a bus and can't ever tell the bus had a problem or was in one. Takes time but its worth it later on.
