Grand Concourse Posted January 30, 2010 Share #32 Posted January 30, 2010 I have no wish to ride from what I hear Why don't you want to ride those lines? So long as it's not the rush hours, there's nothing wrong with them.
Joe Posted January 30, 2010 Share #33 Posted January 30, 2010 Why don't you want to ride those lines? So long as it's not the rush hours, there's nothing wrong with them. They all get their fair share of good lookin' broads. Good enough reason for me to ride. I'll take the subway up to 168 any day of the week...

Grand Concourse Posted January 30, 2010 Share #42 Posted January 30, 2010 Oh please, aside from the E's problem with the bums, there's no problems with the 8th Av lines. I've rode the A from 34th to Broad Channel several times, it was always a safe ride. You just need to keep and open mind and shed your perceptions about a line from 2nd hand commenters. Ride it for yourself and see that there's nothing wrong with those lines.

R32 3348 Posted January 31, 2010 Share #44 Posted January 31, 2010 I have no wish to ride from what I hear I hear its infested with thugs and unpleasant human beings. Not true. The is perfectly fine during all hours - I ride it 5 days a week. The and are fine in Manhattan and in most of Brooklyn as well. Me too. That's why my mom won't let me take the and alone. See above. Also, the if anything is worse and even that line is perfectly fine.

Just cuz a route goes through a "ghetto" neighborhood doesn't mean its actually "ghetto". I lived by the & lines and they're not as bad as everybody say it is.
