Shortline Bus Posted January 29, 2010 Share #1 Posted January 29, 2010 The possiblity of New York City being the home of the civilan criminal trial of suspected 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed took a dramtic turn of being held elsewhere. President Obama has ordered his staff led by US Attorney General Eric Holder to look at 'alternative' sites in the New York region and away from just a few blocks of the World Trade Center site. This possible change in policy came after Mayor Bloomberg who intially offered little comment on this controversial location of the Manhattan site was 1st announced and thus recently condemened the selection to hold the trial. The "KSM' trial is planned to start later this year or early in 2011. Here story. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/ny_crime/2010/01/28/2010-01-28_white_house_orders_justice_department_to_look_for_other_places_to_hold_911_terro.html

INDman Posted January 29, 2010 Share #4 Posted January 29, 2010 Forget the trial, use a .45. The "trial" should have been held in what ever cave they pulled these savages out of at the end of a long gun (you don't want to get brain matter on your self). Shortline Bus Posted January 29, 2010 Author Share #9 Posted January 29, 2010 I am sure a civilan trial held on US mainland will have him have an attorney from the ACLU respresent him for free publicity if KSM takes one at all.
Grand Concourse Posted January 30, 2010 Share #10 Posted January 30, 2010 Eric Holder should be fired outright for even suggesting this in the first place and being so stubburn about it. Good riddance.

Shortline Bus Posted January 31, 2010 Author Share #15 Posted January 31, 2010 Totally agreed, some people just want to make excuses for terrorists... 'don't torture' etc. SMH @ the liberal mentality. Forget Holder. Its Obama who has the final call and trying to do a campaign pledge to hold civilan trials. In end whether West Point, Newburgh, Fort Knox, Annapolis, Joliet, Ill. or Alaska any community that is selected in this country will oppose it.

Send them to sleep-away camp and make them pinky swear to never blow anything up again? Tell them that "America is your friend, everything will be a-ok"? lilbluefoxie Posted February 1, 2010 Share #18 Posted February 1, 2010 When Schumer speaks Obama listens its that simple . Especially now, they don't want to loose him like they lost in Massachusetts. So hes gonna do whatever he can to stay in the senate. Im sure Schumer secretly supported the trials here untill it became unpopular and saw that even deep blue states can turn red again.

Im sure Schumer secretly supported the trials here untill it became unpopular and saw that even deep blue states can turn red again. It doesn't really surprise me. Just like Bloomberg who finally voiced opposition against it, they'll just go along with the popular opinion to keep the backlash at a minimum. Shortline Bus Posted February 1, 2010 Author Share #21 Posted February 1, 2010 So where in NY or anywhere on American soil do you put this trial guys? On the mainland lower 48 states, there will be the biggest NIMBYS opposition to this circus event by the propsed town or area in US History.
