RTS CNG Command Posted January 31, 2010 Share #1 Posted January 31, 2010 When there were only three ex-PBL RTSs left, I decided to go on a hunt. Well, because the three were at JFK, I went to Jamaica, Queens, because the neighborhood had the most JFK Depot routes. Here's photos of the hunt. And one video so far: I'll be uploading the rest tomorrow. This includes upcoming videos of the ex-Bee-Lines, 8505, 8359, and videos and photos of...5995. Stay tuned! RTS CNG Command Posted January 31, 2010 Author Share #8 Posted January 31, 2010 Fantastic Photos ;)tup::tup::tup::tup::tup:..i wonder when they going to put ads on the Ex-bee-line busesThanks. I don't know when. Maybe in the next few months or something, or when they actually paint the buses instead of taping over the Bee Line logos and colors. Slammin pics! Thanks. Nice! if your looking to catch one of the last ex-PBL buses, at FR theres one ex-NYBS O5 sitting in the lot still! you wont see it in service, but its there! Thanks. I haven't gone to the Rockaway area, but maybe I will head to Rockaway Park or Neponsit to see some great buses and routes. Very nice shots! Thanks. ^^ nice shots . 9328 looks totally messed up at bp . everything is just gone now . atleast 8505 is alive still i thought it was dead .Thanks for the compliments. 9328 didn't look very good on the outside, but it sounded like it was running well. As for 8505, I actually saw it earlier on Jamaica Avenue and 153 Street. There was a Q112 , and I planned on getting on, but then 8505 showed up, so I stayed off. Unfortunately, I didn't get a good shot. Thankfully, I got another chance at the 165th Street Terminal. ^^ Awesome photos & a video from Jamaica Queens, plenty of bus action ayy!A lot of bus action. Jamaica is a great place to see a lot of buses, as well as HUGE crowds. When I was in Jamaica in September, the bus lines at Jamaica Avenue and Sutphin were almost half a block LONG. Including a long line for the Q41 (which had 8621). I'll be uploading the photos soon. ^^
RTS CNG Command Posted January 31, 2010 Author Share #9 Posted January 31, 2010 Well, here they are. More photos! Videos of my trip: That's the last batch of photos from here. Now, after I finished taking my photos and videos, I decided to walk back to the Jamaica Center. While passing small, yet hard-at-work garages, I noticed a strange whitebacked bus with double-rear vents (and one missing rear sign). At once, I recognized it as the ex-PBL TMC RTS 5995. So I ran back as fast as I could, but it left the bus stop. Disappointment, defeat. I had my chance to catch it and accomplish my hunt, but I was too late. Or was I? To be continued... R32 3348 Posted January 31, 2010 Share #10 Posted January 31, 2010 Nice pics and vids! Just a layout tip, put spaces between every 2 vids so as not to mess up the layout of the page for easier viewing. The pics are great, and if you want to make them even better try getting the whole bus in the photo or in cases where you can, try to avoid having poles get in the way. Other than that, nice pics and catches!

RTS CNG Command Posted February 1, 2010 Author Share #14 Posted February 1, 2010 Thanks to everyone who commented (including R32 3838 for the advice, which I'll be considering). Onto my little hunt. Well, as I headed back to Jamaica Center, I spotted 5995. I tried to catch it, but it wound up leaving. I was very disappointed and thought I lost a god opportunity. Then I saw the bus stop: Q60. It was running on the Q60. As the Q60 ran down Queens Boulevard, I did what I had to do. I took the train to Forest Hills and waited for it to arrive. Time passed. Nothing. Just NGs, HEVs, and ex-GBL Orions. So I waited and waited. Then, twenty minutes after getting off the train, this showed up: And thus began my little journey through bus heaven. Videos of 5995: As I bid "farewell" to 5995, I went ahead and took more vids and pics of other buses. Hope you enjoyed al of my videos and photos, as well as accomplishing my mission of finding a former PBL RTS. Till then, see ya!

error46146 Posted February 1, 2010 Share #17 Posted February 1, 2010 Nice catch! The Q60 uses the most random buses so you never really know what'll pop up on it..

If I get there every month, you'd be rich. Thanks for the compliments. Glad you like 'em. nice pics and videosThanks. ^^ Nice catch! The Q60 uses the most random buses so you never really know what'll pop up on it..Indeed. The Q60 sometimes houses a lot of interesting buses. The Q60 was where I spotted 5926 and 9791, too. 5895 is in service, it only is used for express runs. ______________________________________ Great Photos RTS CNG COMMAND Thanks. ^^

Grand Concourse Posted February 2, 2010 Share #21 Posted February 2, 2010 Nice pics! But I would use a photo editing software to correct some of those 'hazy' and 'dark' pics. Aside from that, good job!
