Pelham Bay Dave Posted February 2, 2010 Share #1 Posted February 2, 2010 Starting Monday Feb 8 Witlock Ave and Soundview stations will be closed for station Rehab work until Sept 30. Then at the end of March Parkchester Uptown Platform will be closed for rehab. When Parkchester Northbound Closes the proposed service changes will be Pelham Bay Park Bound will Bypass Parkchester. Parkchester Bound will terminate at St Lawance. They also saying Pelham Bound will also not stop at Parkchester. I can't see why they can't stop but have the C/R open on the Manhattan Bound Platform. Stay tuned for more details as they come.
Concourse Express Posted February 2, 2010 Share #2 Posted February 2, 2010 It's about time; I was wondering when the Pelham El stations would get their rehab. Notwithstanding the Parkchester situation is interesting; maybe the reason uptown trains won't stop at Parkchester is to prevent excessive overcrowding? Grand Concourse Posted February 2, 2010 Share #5 Posted February 2, 2010 Indeed. It's gonna suck that it'll be closed down for that long. I just hope this Friday is warm. I think I might make a trip to the Bronx for the 6.
