Forest Glen Posted February 3, 2010 Share #1 Posted February 3, 2010 Today I was in Midwood taking pics when I noticed that the majority of B103's were Orion V CNG Suburbans. With that in mind, I'm planning on riding it on February 16th. I don't have a specific time in mind, but it would be in the afternoon (2:30 PM-ish). I'll take it to Flatbush Junction and then take the B41 to Veterans Avenue. I'll take some BM1 pics before returning to the city. Tentative Itinerary: B103 from Downtown Brooklyn to Flatbush Junction (Flatbush/Nostrand) 20 minute break to take pics B41 to Veterans Avenue 10-15 minute photo stop Return to city Anyone want to join me? The trip will take place on February 16 around 2:30 PM

Forest Glen Posted February 4, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted February 4, 2010 I don't have a Brooklyn Bus map on me right now, but it will be at the B103's first stop in downtown Brooklyn. The trip doesn't have to be on the 16th. It can be on the 16th, 17th, or 19th (I'm working on the 18th). All public schools are off that week. Forest Glen Posted February 4, 2010 Author Share #5 Posted February 4, 2010 It looks like people are still mad at me because of a foot-in-the mouth comment I made earlier this week. I really wanted to socialize with other railfans, but it looks like that won't happen. The trip is still taking place.

As someone who is at the Junction fairly often, there's a good number of hybrids on the B103 as well. B41s, I would say are maybe 50-50 RTS and O7 NGs. Grand Concourse Posted February 5, 2010 Share #9 Posted February 5, 2010 Um, let me say it again. I am at the Junction fairly frequently and I can tell you there's usually a better chance in getting a hybrid on the B103 compared to an O5. There is nothing to dispute. And what new buses? The B103 only runs two types of buses. Same for the B41.

Forest Glen Posted February 5, 2010 Author Share #12 Posted February 5, 2010 The trip is most likely taking place. However, since I'm not one of the "popular" members, no one besides Megabus wants to join. Oh well. We'll have fun.

Forest Glen Posted February 6, 2010 Author Share #14 Posted February 6, 2010 I have to be in the Bronx that morning for a job interview so I'm going to be near the Lexington Avenue line. Just to entice more people to join, I'll add a new leg to the trip: the trip will start at 42nd Street on the . We'll take the or to Borough Hall, then the B103, and then the B41 to Veterans Avenue. These are your comments - - personally if I have time I would join you on any trip (assuming I didn't work that day) but you need to please chill out with the "popularity" issue. R32 3348 Posted February 14, 2010 Share #24 Posted February 14, 2010 Depending on what day it is and if any other events pop up I should be able to go. I have an event with my friends on either the 17th or 18th, and there is a TTMG trip on the 19th. I should be good for the 16th, and maybe the 17th. Let's set up the date first. R32 3348 Posted February 17, 2010 Share #25 Posted February 17, 2010 Sorry, I'm not free in the coming days. I'm free over the weekend but the B103 runs at half hour headways then.
