T to Dyre Avenue Posted March 12, 2010 Share #27 Posted March 12, 2010 Lol no thank you, the is already very slow and long the way it is and plus people have to take slow buses to get to Jamaica Center to take the slow . I think most people in Southeast Queens prefer the LIRR since its faster, I know I do. 2 hours v.s. 30-45 minutes. Really? Even though the runs much more frequently than the LIRR, especially on weekends? St. Albans sees service only once every two hours on weekends. Even if the were to be extended to SE Queens over one of the LIRR branches, there would still be LIRR service over the other branch, so SE Queens residents who prefer the LIRR would still be able to take it. TheKorean Posted March 12, 2010 Share #28 Posted March 12, 2010 Questions for anyone whos taken Port Washington line. Is it faster to take B/Q to Atlantic, transfer to 2 or 3 train, get off at Penn Station, and take Port Washington line to Flushing Main Street or just transfer to 7 at Time Square? Or transfer to N at wherever and transfer to 7 at Queensboro Plaza?
Grand Concourse Posted March 12, 2010 Share #29 Posted March 12, 2010 Why not just take the 4 at Atlantic and go to 59th-Lex for the N to QBP? It's more direct that way [dunno about how reliable the N is though].
TheKorean Posted March 12, 2010 Share #30 Posted March 12, 2010 Either way I need to know if Port Washington route is faster.
Grand Concourse Posted March 12, 2010 Share #31 Posted March 12, 2010 I'm sure it would be since it makes fewer stops than the 7, but it would cost more obviously.
