Daniel The Cool Posted February 6, 2010 #1 Posted February 6, 2010 What you prefer on the (F)/(V) Lines? NTT, R46s or R32s? I say I prefer R46s and R32s on the (F)/(V) Lines for the following reasons. 1. I prefer R46s because its a smooth ride and I grew up riding the R46s on the (F)/(V) lines. 2. R32s has a great RFW And its also one of my favorite subway cars. Now lets here your guys opinion and please no flame wars.
Forest Glen Posted February 6, 2010 #2 Posted February 6, 2010 R46's. They're the best subway cars ever built.
KTrainExp Posted February 6, 2010 #3 Posted February 6, 2010 I would rather have R32s or R160s on the . The reason is because those seating arrangements on the R46s aren't useful for heavy ridership along Queens Blvd.
Cait Sith Posted February 6, 2010 #4 Posted February 6, 2010 How many of these are you going to make? Personally, I prefer the R32s/R46s. But on a daily basis, doesnt matter to me as long as I get from Point A to Point B in good, quick & easy fashion.
KNIGHTRIDER3:16 Posted February 6, 2010 #5 Posted February 6, 2010 (6)'s all the way These cars are never boring /(S)moove Operator
Pablo M 201 Posted February 6, 2010 #6 Posted February 6, 2010 I agree with Shane, give me the R32s or R46s. I can deal with the R160s but those R46s on the have me rolling sometimes with their attitudes!

Zman Posted February 6, 2010 #8 Posted February 6, 2010 160's suck. Not only that, but my wife, who is nowhere near railfan status, hates them too. Not only are the seats uncomfortable but there's far fewer of them, and the A/C blows too strong. Gimme the 46's anyday.
Forest Glen Posted February 6, 2010 #9 Posted February 6, 2010 Not to get O/T, but the AC is on in the middle of winter.
MattTrain Posted February 6, 2010 #10 Posted February 6, 2010 cars are fine, no matter what fleets they use.
INDman Posted February 6, 2010 #11 Posted February 6, 2010 R46, I like haing the forward facing seats.

Queens Surface Posted February 6, 2010 #14 Posted February 6, 2010 I was freezing on a R160 blowing with the A/C on, when I got out on the platform, it was warmer than inside the train. I prefer the R46s all day.
Fresh Pond Posted February 6, 2010 #16 Posted February 6, 2010 It doesn't really matter to me, as long as it gets me from point A to point B without getting delayed at point C. To me, its like all cars are the same. No matter what fancy things you put on it, it still has the same things: wheels, a frame, doors and seats.

SoSpectacular Posted February 6, 2010 #18 Posted February 6, 2010 Yeah, all trains are basically the same, the R160s are just the "present" day trains. They're better anyways during the night. Nice and bright. Only thing that sucks is having the A/C unit on all the time.
Y2Julio Posted February 6, 2010 #19 Posted February 6, 2010 Whatever gets me from point A to point B.

If I were to take in what you said, then why should someone drive a Cadillac Escalade when they could trade it in for Toyota Echo? They both get you from point A to point B, and they have wheels, a frame, doors and seats. Yeah right. Now I'm not going to be particular about whether a 46 or a 160 arrives, I'm going to take the first train that comes. But if you ask me whether I prefer one over the other, then there's no doubt that I prefer the 46 both as a passenger and as an operator.

LRG Posted February 7, 2010 #23 Posted February 7, 2010 Anything over a POS R160, but basically what gets me from place to place in one piece, even if it means I have to board the 160 junk.
R32 3838 Posted February 7, 2010 #24 Posted February 7, 2010 R32's and R46's, I can't Stand the R160's on the , I don't mind the having the R160's but they are trying to put most of them on the , riders get very angry when their R46 don't pop up, When An R160 pops up they get very upset, One Passenger whent to the dispacher and said WHERE IN THE HELL IS THE REGULAR TRAIN!!!! (meaning an R46), That's how bad it is.
