PATCOman Posted February 7, 2010 Share #1 Posted February 7, 2010 These pics were from 7/24/2008 after the Phillies lost to the Mets earlier (Oliver Perez recorded 12 Ks. Side note, 13 months later, Perez did not get out of the first ininng.) Trivia Question: What do the Yankees, Red Sox, Pirates and Cardinals have in common? They have won a World Series in their new stadium in its first year. (Yankees 1923 and 2009, Red Sox in 1912 (Fenway Park), Pirates in 1909 (Forbes Field), and Cardinals in 2006 (Busch Stadium) I remember looking at Redbirds and R62s from this gap. PATCOman Posted February 7, 2010 Author Share #2 Posted February 7, 2010 From 7/30/08, Orioles vs Yankees-- Yankees beat Orioles 13-3. Joba allowed only 2 runs (1 unearned) and 5 hits in 6 innings and struck out 6. Ex-Phillie Bobby Abreu hit 2 HRs. One pet peeve about this place is you can't see down the line. Also I was in section 23 row K. IMO, anything above K or M is way too high. At least the new stadium is not so high. Did you know that flagpole was once in play? Another pet peeve, the OTS only shows 2 games. Even though in the new stadium it shows more information, it shows only 4 games. Later that night, the awful pitcher Tim Redding (but for some reason always pitches like an all star against the Phils) allowed 7 runs in 4+ innings! They actually waited for the game to become official (middle of the 5th) The Phillies have the Phanatic, the Mets have Mr. Met, and the Yankees have the groundscrew. I will be posting some more baseball pics soon!
