In a very busy news weekend here in America, in a story that got little or no coverage due to the super bowl and the blizzard in the Washington, DC and Philadelphia areas, an important election was held in New Orleans was held to replace the term limited and controversial outgoing Mayor Ray Nagin, a new man was elected to lead the city several years after "Katrina.' He is a son of a former Mayor of NO, during the 1970's and his sister is a current US Senate member. The news story here.

It will be a tough job, especially in a city that had to have the FBI take the place of the local PD many years ago, do to corruption (with drugs). Cops were telling the "alleged arrested dealers", where the people who were going to testify live, and they were being killed to keep from talking, etc........
