Deaks Posted February 12, 2010 Share #2 Posted February 12, 2010 When this is finished it will be a total transformation from what went before. I rode on the ELL a couple of years ago and it looked exactly what it was, a run-down mess. When the line is extended north and south you will, I think, be able to do a full circle around London via the Overground.
wickford76 Posted February 15, 2010 Share #3 Posted February 15, 2010 Here is an interest link. Shortly after a bridge was put into place for the East London line extension over the main line out of London towards East London and Essex, part of it collapsed, just missing a train heading to Southend in Essex. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article1220596.ece I would have been on it, had I not been staying in NYC at the time!
T to Dyre Avenue Posted March 31, 2010 Share #4 Posted March 31, 2010 I'm looking forward to riding the new East London Railway. Should be interesting to ride this line as part of the Overground network with its brand new rolling stock.
