The new East London Line will also be extended and feature new trains that are different from the A Stock that served the line when it was part of the Underground.

The East London Line's new name: The East London Railway.

When this is finished it will be a total transformation from what went before. I rode on the ELL a couple of years ago and it looked exactly what it was, a run-down mess. When the line is extended north and south you will, I think, be able to do a full circle around London via the Overground.

Here is an interest link. Shortly after a bridge was put into place for the East London line extension over the main line out of London towards East London and Essex, part of it collapsed, just missing a train heading to Southend in Essex.

I would have been on it, had I not been staying in NYC at the time!
