Paul P Posted February 12, 2010 Share #3 Posted February 12, 2010 I love how 1 thread from the whole forum basically shuts down the R44 fleet and makes them history like it's true.

2 Train Master Posted February 25, 2010 Share #11 Posted February 25, 2010 Nice vid,but I doubt this will be the R44's last winter b\c they run great but lots have problems but I'm not a fan of the 44,but they'll be missed. Some unique things about em are the brake release it sounds cool 2me,LCD signs are nice I'm surprised I never seen scratchitti or graffiti or even a broken plastic covering on it.But all you non R44 fans I think ya need2 take a ride a real ride I'll tell ya some spots they kick ass CPW(S\B-125-81) (N\B-59 to 116th),then the entire Fulton line outbound you'll hit at least 40 btwn Hoyt-Schermerhorn and Nostrand. If the 44's were really in bad shape they would had probably been retired since they were 30.MTA had the money to replace b\c they ordered the excellent R142's,A's & the ok 143's.But they need2 be respected more I think these are the least respected cars.
