LRG Posted March 6, 2010 Share #6 Posted March 6, 2010 For a second I thought it was an train. It brought back many ominous memories. Better than the POS 160s that are ridden on that line.... And @ blkfire: If it was eight cars that may mean they are testing it for the (M)/(V) combo...IF it happens.
MattTrain Posted March 6, 2010 Share #7 Posted March 6, 2010 Maybe this is like any other test train, I don't think this is going to predict anything, just my two cents.
Grand Concourse Posted March 6, 2010 Share #8 Posted March 6, 2010 For a second I thought it was an train. It brought back many ominous memories. I thought folded up seats was worse? At least R32s won't have that problem.
LRG Posted March 6, 2010 Share #9 Posted March 6, 2010 I thought folded up seats was worse? At least R32s won't have that problem. Yep...and at least R32s had contoured seats unlike the flat seating the NTTs have.
Grand Concourse Posted March 6, 2010 Share #10 Posted March 6, 2010 Hell, as much as I hate that lump on the NTTs, at least you can lean back a bit. This fold up seat is like a strait 90 degree angle. That's terrible, it needs to be sloped back. And the back portion should be taller.

Art Vandelay Posted March 6, 2010 Share #19 Posted March 6, 2010 Yes, as somebody else pointed out, all married pairs with the exception of the R40 and R42 fleets have C/R controls in all 4 cabs in the pair. Most of the current remaining R32s (Phase 1) were assigned to Pitkin yard for their post GOH life. Many were also at Jamaica. The Phase 2 cars were assigned to Coney Island and Jamaica after overhaul.
