EE Broadway Local Posted April 7, 2010 Share #57 Posted April 7, 2010 While I don't remember my very first-ever cell phone clearly other than it was a Motorola brand and not a flip phone with a camera (it was 1999 and my service was from Qwest), I do remember when the mobile web began (around 2000 AD). It was very simple and text only. I've been with Qwest/Verizon Wireless (Qwest's wireless division merged with Verizon's wireless division) eleven years now. While I have a home telephone with a basic service for backup/security, I like the cell phone for portability, though I don't use it while I'm riding my Schwinn bicycle or working. PATCOman Posted April 7, 2010 Share #58 Posted April 7, 2010 I don't think this was my first cellphone, but this comes close what is pictured is a Motorola Timeport-- I had this one from 2001-2003: Then I got a Nokia 3310 (I'm not sure if that was the exact model, but it was in that family and had that one from 2003-2006: And now I have a Motorola V360 since 2006:
