ColumbiaDeath Posted April 1, 2010 Share #1 Posted April 1, 2010 Seeing as this is a transit forum, does anyone here enjoy personal transportation? I love riding bikes. I love riding them slow or fast. I love riding them in the woods or in Midtown traffic. Today I got my first-sunburn-of-the-year, so hooray for the Sun. Share your appreciation for bicycles here! Forest Glen Posted April 2, 2010 Share #5 Posted April 2, 2010 I used to ride bikes when I was a kid. I haven't been on a bike in nearly a decade. There's a nice bike path along the Hudson River.
FamousNYLover Posted April 2, 2010 Share #6 Posted April 2, 2010 I used to ride bike when I was living with American roommate at 1771 1st Av. I remember when I was size that truck driver cannot see. We were going northbound on 1st Av sidewalk, crossing 96th St. At the moment, I enter crosswalk turn red light, and truck that didn't see me almost run me over!! Another when I was riding bike on 2nd Av sidewalk southbound, brown boy says, "YOU NOT SUPPOSE TO BE ON SIDEWALK." He said ruefully and he pushed me off small bike. I was little then, other lady walking by told that boy that children bikers are allowed on sidewalk.
Forest Glen Posted April 2, 2010 Share #7 Posted April 2, 2010 He didn't have to push you. I don't like it when guys pick on people smaller than them.

SevenEleven Posted April 2, 2010 Share #10 Posted April 2, 2010 Haven't rode since the summer, but I love it. It's a great way to exercise and when you go riding, you can't stop.
bveguy Posted April 2, 2010 Share #11 Posted April 2, 2010 I just like riding a bike in the night. Since the DOT rules require a reflective vest/clothing after sunset, and I only reflective things I have are vests, its my excuse to wear one out
