Not sure what might be prompting a weekend suspension of the to Rockaway Park, but I thought you might enjoy seeing this:

Probably track replacement and station renewal on the Far Rock branch. Since the A is re-routed to Rock Park the S is not needed.

They are rehabbing quite a few stations on both ends of the line, so the whole GO (this weekend and next) makes sense. I might take advantage of this to get pics of the to Rockaway Park instead of waiting during rush hour for just 5 trains' worth of pics.

I went down the line on Friday and they had concrete ties stacked up on the street at B72 St and B67 St. Most likely put them in this weekend.
