A 19-year-old Brooklyn man and two of his pals were hit with double-murder raps on Thursday night for fatally knifing two men on a downtown No. (2) train, police said.

Brenddy Garcia confessed to being the knife-wielding butcher in the horrific subway slaughter early Sunday morning, police said.

"He's the one who did the cutting," a police source said.

But after a lengthy grilling at the NYPD's 6th Precinct stationhouse on Thursday night, police also charged Franklin Varella, 21, of Manhattan, and Diogenes Hernandez, 21, of Queens, with two counts of murder.

This is also a good lesson on not pissing anyone off in the subway (i.e. don't throw bags of garbage through train doors)...you never know what nutjobs are just waiting to cause trouble.

Of course, this is not me blaming the victims at all, just saying you gotta be careful.

there's enough blame to go around to everyone. only a savage would throw their garbage out of the open door of a subway car but only an even bigger savage would stab someone because of it.

Looks like Mr. Garcia will stand trial alone as his 3 buddies are off the hook on the suspected murder charges from last weekend.

Here the update Daily News link.

So you're telling me it costs more to hire ten people to shoot someone in one minute than it costs to feed, guard, and take care of someone for fifty years?

I hope your not serious, if you are then you have ALOT to learn about how the legal system works. Putting someone to death is not as easy as that, it takes years of appeals and even new trials before anything can be done. It costs alot less to put someone in jail for life with out the possibility of parole.

Sadly, I was joking...the legal system sucks in this country.

A criminal justice student charged with fatally stabbing two New York subway riders was defending himself after a group of passengers broke a bottle over his head and put him in a headlock, his lawyer said Friday.

The student, Brenddy Garcia, 19, sobbed as he was arraigned on murder charges in Manhattan. He is being held without bail.

Prosecutors say he overreacted after other passengers tossed or kicked a bag of trash at him on a No.2 train early Sunday.

But his lawyer, Pamela Roth, said that any actions he took were in self-defense. She said he had recently enrolled in a criminal justice program at Brooklyn College.

Darnell Morel and Ricardo Williams, both 24, were killed in the encounter.

Wow...

Read this from NYPOST.

http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/manhattan/deadly_train_bash_8HhhHsI3Y1esoKspZe1weL

"The two subway riders fatally stabbed along the downtown 2 line were attacked during a rowdy "train party" -- a fast-growing epidemic where youths, packing booze, smokes and sometimes weapons, take over a subway car in "wilding" episodes long after the bars have closed.

"It's like something from the bad old days of New York," a law-enforcement source told The Post.

That's the kind of underground chaos knife-loving Brenddy Garcia and his four friends ran into Sunday morning -- only this party ended with the 19-year-old Garcia wildly jabbing his blade after a 40-ounce beer bottle was smashed over his head. "

Story is complicated if i may say so.
