Possible sighting of lost subway cat

It could be the miracle under 55th St.

 

A Con Edison worker checking a meter in the subway tunnel at Lexington Ave. and 55th St. said he saw a blue-collared black cat Wednesday - more than three weeks after a black kitten escaped from its owner onto the tracks.

 

Notified of the sighting by the Daily News, NYC Transit was set last night to launch a search-and-rescue operation between the 51st and 59th St. stations on the line.
