gregorygrice Posted April 3, 2010 Share #1 Posted April 3, 2010 Thursday (4/1/10), I took a quick trip to Stamford to see what I would catch, since alot of work was being done, due to flooding. Then my mom picked me up and I went to Greenwich for the first time. They had the Bridgeplates up there because of the new track that was laid down. Well Enjoy! Also look out for the Amtrak part of my railfanning. Don't feed the birds lol The was trying to bring this crane to life so they could use it again. They had like 5 guys wielding and hammering it. I actually caught a desiel but it was just turning around to go back towards New Haven. Then another one came to turn around but before I could get to the other platform it left. Then I caught the Catenary maintenence car and a cutting crane with train wheels. And heres the one MNRR video I took. The engineer was very nice! I almost forgot to post Greenwich Old and New Standing on a Bridgeplate The engineer was alittle off Do I see the MNRR version of money train? They loaded some boxes and 2 big padlocked bags onto the back of the local train to GCT. Whats also weird is that they locked the two back cars. Hope you Enjoyed! Please comment. Another possibility is it's the daily mail train and they use a dead head.
Joe Posted April 5, 2010 Share #7 Posted April 5, 2010 gotta love bridge plates on the NH line...especially when you hear the conductor over the PA spotting the engineer "more more more more STOP!"

Mail trains are just regular local trains where they close a car or two to deliver the mail to stations.
