Hawk Operator Posted June 19, 2011 Share #51 Posted June 19, 2011 It is ironic that even as MTA now controls the former PBLs, the same problems still exist: no buses, no parts, poor performance. And most on here point out some good changes that came, those changes didn't come from the former PBLs' management team that continues to be clueless as to what they are doing now. MTA Bus' management team is combination of empowered inept former PBL managers getting mixed in with the poorly performing NYCT managers that rotate through MTA Bus more frequently then oil changes. As for the service changes, some are good, but others are mind boggling and only appear to address problems on paper. I believe had DOT taken a more active role and tightned the PBL's reins there would be better service then what now exists in MTA Bus. Unfortunately we will never know.
