RokuSix Posted April 29, 2010 Share #26 Posted April 29, 2010 People always have a "not my problem" attitude. I hate it. But when things happen to them, they want someone to intervene. I'll tell you what: somebody has to have the proverbial nuts to stand up and change things...
Forest Glen Posted April 29, 2010 Share #27 Posted April 29, 2010 In psychology class in college we talked about the bystander effect and how Kitty Genovese was killed on a busy street in Queens. Everyone assumed that someone else would call the cops.

R10 2952 Posted May 2, 2010 Share #30 Posted May 2, 2010 When I see what 'bad Samaritans' the majority of people in NYC are, it gets me angry. There is no sense of community around here. It sometimes seems that the only way to get NYC residents to be less hard-hearted would be to nuke the place....I'm pretty sure a standard "Patriot" warhead would be sufficient.(just kidding lol)
St Louis Car 09 Posted May 3, 2010 Author Share #31 Posted May 3, 2010 Anyone remember the finale episode of seinfeld where Jerry and the gang were thrown in jail for a year for not helping the fat dude from being mugged in broad daylight? And to top it off they were filming the entire mugging from across the street. They were charged with not following the good samaritan law.People here in NYC should be arested for the same thing.
