Forest Glen Posted April 30, 2010 Share #1 Posted April 30, 2010 The District's streetcars arrive at the Port of Baltimore last year, before being shipped to Metro's Greenbelt yard for storage. (District Department of Transportation) The public will be able to step inside one of the District's new streetcars next week during a four-day preview of the much-talked-about revival scheduled for service in 2012. The District Department of Transportation will bring one of three cars it is storing in Metro's rail yard in Greenbelt downtown for viewing starting Wednesday, May 5, at the site of the old convention center at Ninth and H streets NW.The car will be set on temporary tracks in Lot B of CityCenter DC. I think they're a newer version. They look like the ones on the South Lake Union Streetcar, if that is what you're talking about. The Tacoma Link runs something else I believe.
