Very cool. Walking along abandoned or 'What was a Railroad' ROW's just brings back history as to what went through certain places. Imagine giant New Central Central Dreyfuss Hudson Steam Loco's barreling on what is now a trail.:tup:

That's really cool. And they did a considerable amount of work in preserving the remnants: at least they don't look dilapidated or covered with graffiti.

for the most part that that small station is in tact but u can see lots of rotting at the base of it and aside from the stones theres no other station left along the line witch sucks

Gotta need to chack that Putnam Rail area, it looks pretty interesting over there, perfect for a "history-based rail-hiking", :tup: :(!

 

yeah it really is good for a rail hiking trip thought i think The Abandoned LIRR Rockaway Beach Branch would be better sinse there is alot more left from the train line intact
