Trainspotter Posted February 26, 2008 Share #1 Posted February 26, 2008 MTA workers brace for fare hike complainers Subway station agent, Evander Johnakin III, and his colleague say they are bracing for the longer lines and complaints that are sure to come starting Sunday, when the transit fare hike takes effect. "You're a representative of New York City Transit, so anytime the fare goes up you're going to get the brunt of it," said the 25-year agency veteran. "Now I'm going to be the bad guy because someone else decided to raise the fare." New York City Transit has prepped station agents with a bulletin listing all the new fares and giving them tips to assist customers.
