You would get there faster and cheaper by taking the N6 to the Hempstead Transit Center than taking thr N40/41 to the N88.

LIRR to Mineola

N40/41 to Freeport

N88 to Jones Beach

 

Be aware that the N88 is usually VERY crowded and you may have to wait for the next bus. Dispatchers sometimes send 2 buses/trip, but not always.

 

OBRM is within walking distance of the station. It's only open noon-4PM Saturdays, so plan accordingly.
