New MTA LIRR Timetables In Effect March 3

Includes Track Work Programs Affecting Port Washington, Montauk, Long Beach, Far Rockaway and Hempstead Branches

 

New MTA Long Island Rail Road timetables will take effect on Monday, March 3. The timetables include service adjustments for track and construction work affecting the Port Washington, Montauk, Long Beach, Far Rockaway and Hempstead Branches.

 

Port Washington Branch

 

A major switch reconstruction program, part of the East Side Access Capital Project, will require significant service changes on the Port Washington Branch on four weekends, March 15-16, March 29-30, April 5-6, and May 17-18. Customers will transfer to the #7 subway between Shea Stadium and Woodside for the entire weekends of March 15-16 and April 5-6. Twelve-hour service disruptions requiring use of the #7 subway between Shea Stadium and Woodside will take place on the weekends of March 29-30 and May 17-18.
