TrainFanatic Posted June 1, 2010 Share #1 Posted June 1, 2010 Beach goers and visitors to the new Luna Park will find getting home by subway at the Coney Island - Stillwell Ave Terminal a bit easier this weekend, courtesy of newly installed "Next Train Departure" screens on all four platforms of the busy terminal. The screens will take the guess work out of catching the right train on the right platform, especially for those riders who are unfamiliar or don't use the busy terminal on a regular basis. The full article can be found here: http://www.mta.info/news/stories/?story=69 Do you guys think this is really necessary?
mark1447 Posted June 1, 2010 Share #2 Posted June 1, 2010 Wasn't there a topic about this created by R33WF? Or did it get removed? And its a waste of money! T/A could use the cash to cover the cost of its workers/service cuts and save... They could go with the plain ones they got at any terminal~
w8Hou Posted June 1, 2010 Share #3 Posted June 1, 2010 There is an existing thread that was merge and placed on the Subway Photo section: http://www.nyctransitforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20463 IMO, that thread should have belong on this section, photos were just a backup to the info.
