B) It also shows how DC is trying to become the next NYC sized System.......
TheKorean Posted June 3, 2010 Share #2 Posted June 3, 2010 I dont want to go off topic but I dont want to make a new thread, but whats the benefit of a tram over a BRT? Is purple line approved and under construction? I think silver line is, correct me if I am wrong though.

TheKorean Posted June 5, 2010 Share #4 Posted June 5, 2010 ^Thank you. But if BRT isnt that inferior why not just go with BRT? I assume its much cheaper since all you have to do is paint the road, build bus stations, order some buses and bam, BRT. Rapid transit is of course, much more expensive, faster, but expensive and the price tag cant be justified because of the projected ridership is too low. Is purple line approved and under construction? I think silver line is, correct me if I am wrong though. I will be very happy to discuss that in another thread. Silver Line is, yes, under construction. I've seen the construction myself last time I was in DC (actually, Virginia)
