Cait Sith Posted June 18, 2010 Share #26 Posted June 18, 2010 The M14 desperately needs them Nuh uh! The high floor artics are fine on that route!
Pablo M 201 Posted June 18, 2010 Share #27 Posted June 18, 2010 Another one? Didn't they test 0055 long enough? Or is this one maybe built to different specs? Might be a hybrid coming to demo.
LRG Posted June 18, 2010 Share #28 Posted June 18, 2010 Might be a hybrid coming to demo. I wonder what they sound like...can't wait.
East New York Posted June 18, 2010 Share #29 Posted June 18, 2010 We will be building a demo in august! Another one? Didn't they test 0055 long enough? Or is this one maybe built to different specs? Might be a hybrid coming to demo. From what I understand it will be a hybrid built to MTA specs. Can you confirm NovaBus Builder?
MTR Admiralty Posted June 18, 2010 Share #30 Posted June 18, 2010 Nuh uh! The high floor artics are fine on that route! Heh, well I meant the fact that the third door can handle additional crowds. Helps out the M14D. Also, many of my rides on the M14A had wheelchair or scooter users, a lower floor bus can help with that, IMO.

R32 3348 Posted June 19, 2010 Share #32 Posted June 19, 2010 The 101, 102 and 103 ought to have a bus lane first. The bunching on Lex Ave is insane. There are bus lanes on sections of Lexington Ave. on the Upper East Side, IINM.
MTR Admiralty Posted June 20, 2010 Share #33 Posted June 20, 2010 There are bus lanes on sections of Lexington Ave. on the Upper East Side, IINM. That's Fifth Avenue, regarding the bus lanes. And bus lanes are a joke there because people want to turn onto the transverses. I rode an M103 from 63rd to Bayard, and it took almost an hour. No bus lane as I know of. And 63rd is technically the UES.

BJC Posted June 29, 2010 Share #36 Posted June 29, 2010 SA-WEEEEEEEEEET!!! I love the LFS! I'd especially like to see them in Staten Island too  So will the incoming buses be 60-footers or 40-footers? I heard that the TA liked 0055 giving it positive reviews. 0055 is hell alot better then the DL.
LRG Posted June 29, 2010 Share #37 Posted June 29, 2010 0055 is hell alot better then the DL. Yes it is! The way it sounds, the way it looks...three thumbs up in my book!:tup::tup:

And 63rd is technically the UES. I've taken the M101 from 96th to 68th before and there were bus lanes on at least part of the route. Also, part of Jay Walder's plan to enforce bus lanes is to inspect parts of Lexington Ave.
