Eric B Posted September 6, 2010 Share #26 Posted September 6, 2010 I was hoping one of those companies would have gotten the 13 DOT Classics with the back door (the 14th one was kept as museum fleet, I believe). Just like they had hand-me-down new looks years after they stopped running elsewhere.

Just like they had hand-me-down new looks years after they stopped running elsewhere. For a while most of those companies ran Orion's and lately the trend has shifted to gillig. I don't think that they would ever buy Classic's as it would probobly cost more to have parts for two models rather than one.
Eric B Posted September 7, 2010 Share #28 Posted September 7, 2010 But I meant getting those Classics instead of the Orions and Gilligs. (I don't know the size of their fleets, and if there would have been enough Classics. Probably, as their fleets can't be that big).
Q101 E Midtown Posted September 7, 2010 Share #29 Posted September 7, 2010 That would be an interesting sight. I think the B110 should do with some 45-foot coaches, since a lot of their runs are SRO.
Eric B Posted September 7, 2010 Share #30 Posted September 7, 2010 The Classics weren't 45 ft were they? Since you mention that in conjunction). In that case, maybe they would get some NABI COMPO's from out west (which will probably begin retiring in a few years), since we've never seen those here in the east. On Sunday night they ran NYAS 721 on the B110.
