MTA New York City Transit

Service Alert

Posted on:3/3/2008 4:35:43&nbspPM

Due to signal problems at the Woodside-61st Street Station, all Flushing-bound (7) trains are running local from the Queensboro Plaza Station to the 74th Street-Broadway Station.

Please expect delays in service on the (7) trains at this time.

Why is there ALWAYS a problem with the signaling on the (7)?

Until they fix, change, and get it right.

Thats why the MTA says they're gonna "upgrade" the signalling there... (7) Trains actually terminated at 74th though eh? You never know they probably just did that on purpose lol... Hey lets give our new tracks some testing :)

Eventually CBTC is coming to the (7) next, but they will have to go back and either order new cars or retrofit the R142A's to work with the new system, since it's likely those would be the cars headed to Corona yd, and the R62A's would come back to Westchester yd and the (6).
