metsfan Posted July 16, 2010 Share #26 Posted July 16, 2010 I just think trackless trollies would work in NYC, i see it working, maybe not BRT, because of the way the streets are laid out, but plain old trackless trolly would work. 50 gallon tank is fine if all you need is to get the passengers to the next "free roaming" bus stop and maybe back to the depot empty. You could also have batteries on board to both power it through circuit gaps and even out the traction power current or maybe more. B23 Bus M1 Bus Church St from Worth to Cetre Sts, Cetre St-Cleveland Pl-Lafayette St to 8th St. Also put trolley on B51 and B39 route over bridge.
