FamousNYLover Posted June 19, 2010 Share #1 Posted June 19, 2010 I have seen same #882 operating bus with doors wide open!! B/O suppose not to do this right, even for tour bus? Even if bottom deck is empty, they have to keep close, right?

Kingsbridge Bus Posted June 19, 2010 Share #3 Posted June 19, 2010 It's not that dangerous on CitySights NY since all of the passengers are at the top floor unlike Gray Line tours. I see school bus drivers drive with the doors open all the time which is even more dangerous when they have kids onboard.
FamousNYLover Posted June 19, 2010 Author Share #4 Posted June 19, 2010 I did not see inside. I meant what happened if passenger was also in bottom double-deck. Last time, when I saw #882 few month ago, it was crowded on top level, there was CitySight riders still getting on that bus.
Pablo M 201 Posted June 19, 2010 Share #5 Posted June 19, 2010 Maybe the doors can't close? Driver's preference? Who knows.
Cait Sith Posted June 19, 2010 Share #6 Posted June 19, 2010 I saw this bus at Allen Street earlier today, the operator was talking to a Grey Line operator while they were dropping off/picking up people, the bus's HVAC didnt work so he left the doors open.
