Sound Transit

Recommended Posts

Another transit provider in the Seattle region is Sound Transit, which provides Express Bus, Light Rail and Commuter Rail service in Snohomish, Pierce & King Counties. Sound Transit operates twenty-four bus routes in fifty-three cities with a fleet of approximately 350 buses. Sound Transit supports two light rail lines, one based in Tacoma and the other operating between Seattle & Sea-Tac Airport. In addition, the mostly weekday Sounder commuter rail service that runs a North & South line between Everett & Tacoma via Seattle.

Sound Transit’s bus fleet is very similar to King County Metro with Gillig Phantoms and New Flyer D60LFs & DE60LFs. The difference is that ST has New Flyer C40LFs & MCI D4500s
