Community Transit operates 28 local routes and 25 commuter lines into and out of Seattle during rush hours. They also contract five Sound Transit routes that operate within the county. The fleet consist of approximately 270 buses, all from New Flyer consisting from D40LFs D40LFRs, D60HF & D60LFs, Inveros & DE60LFA for the Swift BRT service. Community Transit New Flyer D40LF #5130, the last of 30 ordered in 1995 sits at Aurora Village, one of four lines to serve this hub along with King County Metro: Route 101, which is one of C.Ts heaviest routes outside of the swift also operates from Aurora Village T.C. Here is #5124 prior to depature: Community Transit #9168, one of a batch of 20 NFIs and among the last 40 footers to be equipped with DD50 engines is seen at Everett Station on Route 271: In 2009, Community Transit started the Swift Line, a Bus Rapid Transit service operating between Aurora Village & Everett Station. The line uses 15 New Flyer DE62LFAs equipped with interior bike racks and seating for approx. 43.
