Shortline Bus Posted June 28, 2010 Share #2 Posted June 28, 2010 Has any one taken the CT Transit, particularly the Stamford Division? I have. CT Division opeartes local bus service for most of southern half of the state mainly the two big cities in SW Stamford and New Haven. Also in Hartford area as well. The other major cities in Ct. such as Bridgeport and Danbury are opearted by other mass transit networks. CT Transit also opeartes the popular Stamford-White Plains, NY line that runs 7 days a week between Westchester County and Fairfield. Here more info/link for CT Transit Statewide area bus service. http://www.cttransit.com/ Hope this helps.
gregorygrice Posted June 29, 2010 Share #3 Posted June 29, 2010 I take their I-Bus Express alot to get to Stamford and the NEC. Their new MCIs are Awesome! Also I have rode some of their city buses but their bus system can be confusing at times. And their fleet is kinda old. But on the Rail Side, Ive rode all of the rails their, except for the SLE. Amtrak7 Posted June 30, 2010 Share #4 Posted June 30, 2010 ...but their bus system can be confusing at times. At times??? I find CTTransit really confusing. Trying to plan my trip to BERA in August via the F East Haven took me a long while with the schedule, map, and Google Maps to understand all the variations for both Sat and Sun. I couldn't imagine planning a trip on this route in the rush hour! On the topic of systems few people have ridden, anyone do PART (Putnam) or UCAT (Ulster)? Searching YouTube and Google Images turns up little for UCAT and none for PART.
