R32 3348 Posted June 29, 2010 Share #6 Posted June 29, 2010 Great work on the roster, Trevor. Just one thing though, you forgot to remove some routes that have already been cut. I was looking through the Bronx section and you missed the BxM4B, and the BxM4A has been relabeled the BxM4. Also, the BxM7B is no more.

Grand Concourse Posted June 30, 2010 Share #14 Posted June 30, 2010 Storage along with the 5800s. That's a shame. And the 5800s are in storage too? Bummer. I just hope they aren't going to be scrapped.

Long-term storage; I would not be surprised if they eventually ended up at Mitchel Field for LIRR shuttle work.
Grand Concourse Posted June 30, 2010 Share #17 Posted June 30, 2010 Can it handle the Vikings? Or is the depot too short for them?
East New York Posted June 30, 2010 Share #18 Posted June 30, 2010 So where have the New Flyer Vikings went seeing as they are no longer listed at Casey Stengel? Correct me if I'm wrong someone, but unless plans changed, one will be a museum bus, and the others have come to the end of the line. Literally! Grand Concourse Posted June 30, 2010 Share #19 Posted June 30, 2010 But this would not be a problem if the unions were to allow swaps b/w MTA bus and NYCT. Then CP could've sent CS the QM2/a and QM3 and CS could've sent CP the Q20a/b and Q40. That would've given the Vikings a purpose. They've been wasted for years on the x51. Rob0922 Posted June 30, 2010 Share #21 Posted June 30, 2010 You are incorrect in the listing of the number of RTS buses currently in the Flatbush Depot. As of now, the depot is for the majority, composed of Orion Low Floor hybrid buses. If I had to guess, I would say that there might be a total of 40 or so RTS buses remaining in the depots inventory. You might want to check your facts before reporting inaccuracies.

There is no way possible Flatbush only has 40 RTS'. That means they would have to have roughly 200 hybrids. Flatbush usually holds between 235 to 285 buses. There are a least 150 RTS' still there. You guys only lost 1 route. And that was split between depots, so it really doesn't count.

You might wanna take a copy of my roster, print it out and go sit by Flatbush and just check off all the RTSs you see pull out the depot in the AM or pull-in in the PM and see that my list is 99.7% accurate. What you REALLY is sitting here telling me and the rest of this forum that the B2, B31, B41, B44, B46, and B49 can be operated with a total of 125 buses (85 Hybrids + 40 RTSs). When the B41-B44 and B46 uses 125 buses by itself. Seriously? Really? What'll really bake your noodle is where I get this information from (and I'll leave it as that)...SO, what's good for the goose is good for the gander, YOU might want to check YOUR facts before coming to this arena like you know it all. . .
