Joe Posted July 1, 2010 Share #13 Posted July 1, 2010 Since when is "Japanese" considered a music genre? They've a fascinating way of adapting Western music to their language. The hip-hop and rap over there is...interesting, to say the least.

Geez Joe I half expected you to respond to this thread with the answer "anything that's not too mopey/perpy" I don't know a thing about Japanese music but if it's no better than the 5 second Asia sample they give you of each continent's "best music" during the Grammys, I'll pass. Joe Posted July 1, 2010 Share #15 Posted July 1, 2010 Geez Joe I half expected you to respond to this thread with the answer "anything that's not too mopey/perpy" My playlist is all over the place, from Alkaline Trio to Frank Sinatra and from Muse to Johnny Cash. But you won't find any mopey music on my iPod, that's for sure.

CaramelFrapp Posted July 22, 2010 Share #22 Posted July 22, 2010 I like music from the 80s, 90s, a couple songs from 2000-present, tropical (salsa, merengue, bachata), Latin pop. As long as it's not banda (corny circus-type music), "do you think my bulldozer is a hottie?"-type country, or heavy metal, I'm fine.
