cdi919 Posted June 30, 2010 Share #7 Posted June 30, 2010 I was lucky enough to be wandering through the barn when they were wraping the train. They had a big crew with 2 people per car putting the wrap up. Then I ended up riding it Tuesday moring around 5am. I say they do it with all the trains if it brings money in. INDman Posted July 1, 2010 Share #13 Posted July 1, 2010 Corperate graffiti, I would rather see some SEEN or IZ the WIZ bunners then an ad for Target.
IRT Bronx Express Posted July 5, 2010 Share #14 Posted July 5, 2010 I saw that train at Westchester Square last week (in revenue service), but it left before I boarded inside.
Princelex Posted July 6, 2010 Share #15 Posted July 6, 2010 Ahhhhhhh.Corporate graffiti!!!!.this is worst than the real thing. Well if this "corporate graffiti" helps bring the some money so that they don't eliminate anymore bus and subway service, then they need to wrap EVERY subway car in the system. Princelex Posted July 6, 2010 Share #16 Posted July 6, 2010 I forgot to mention that I rode the Special train this evening a little after 6pm. It looks GREAT. It gives the cars some color. I didn't realize how much color has been missing from the recent subway cars until looking at this wrap. The folks at the Westchester Yard did a great job putting this ad on the train and I hope there will be more of these wraps on subway cars throughout the system in the future. Grand Concourse Posted July 6, 2010 Share #17 Posted July 6, 2010 I do hope that if it is this 'easy' to put up ad wraps, could they have the old MTA paint schemes like the silver and red foxes created and plaster those on the R142s? Cuz it sure doesn't look like the MTA is giving a damn about the TOMC.
RokuSix Posted July 8, 2010 Share #18 Posted July 8, 2010 I hate Target, but love their advertising department. They really used the train to the ad's advantage, especially the bright red front car... it looks like a redbird.

2 Train Master Posted July 9, 2010 Share #20 Posted July 9, 2010 What's wrong with Target? Target is just a Wal-Mart in blue with a different name and stuff and Wal-Mart is a Target (red) with a different name and stuff.
TwoTimer Posted July 9, 2010 Share #21 Posted July 9, 2010 @Dave... Frank went wild when he got a chance to operate it, he said he wanted it every day lol.
RokuSix Posted July 15, 2010 Share #22 Posted July 15, 2010 What's wrong with Target? Their clothes are always so boring. And it's always so crowded!
TwoTimer Posted July 20, 2010 Share #23 Posted July 20, 2010 Yeah, from a woman's perspective difficult to find cute outfits in there. From a guy's POV I'm only in there to buy navy slacks when my TA stuff dont fit and for undergarments lol (other than food). The best part of Target is its grocery, good prices when the item isnt on sale at PathMark. Back on topic however, I dont think it gets any preferencial treatment (as in logging more road hours than the typical train), its just at the mercy of the railroad. Kriston Lewis Posted July 20, 2010 Share #24 Posted July 20, 2010 What's wrong with Target? The ones in the city tend to be a disorganized mess.
