FamousNYLover Posted July 4, 2010 Author Share #4 Posted July 4, 2010 Thanks, KR. I rode Skyliner Bus as charter bus before. Few years ago, there was Japanese who I helped at Museum before wanted me to give tour, however when I went to Marriot Marquis to meet them, they couldn't give info, so I met them inside MET Museum, and few of them was with Tour Group. She ask Japanese tour guide if I could join them for lunch and they paid for my food, so they let me on. Skyliner Bus is very nice bus.
Q101 E Midtown Posted July 4, 2010 Share #5 Posted July 4, 2010 Nice pics. I used Skyliner to go to an from Atlantic City. They only charge $13-18. But I wonder why their buses end with “-98”?
QM1to6Ave Posted July 4, 2010 Share #6 Posted July 4, 2010 So is Skyliner contracted by Azumah transport to do these runs, or are they all one and the same company?
nycbusfan Posted July 4, 2010 Share #7 Posted July 4, 2010 Skyliner is being contracted to operate the service as Transport Azumah doesn't have enough buses to cover the service.
Bill from Maspeth Posted July 4, 2010 Share #8 Posted July 4, 2010 Skyliner is being contracted to operate the service as Transport Azumah doesn't have enough buses to cover the service. If he first doesn't get put out of business with low ridership, Azumah will eventually get put out of business by NYCT/NYCDOT because they'll out lawyer him. I'm sure they're in the process in making the case against him. How do we know the qualifications of Azumah's bus operators? Are these guys randomly tested for drugs and alcohol like NYCT's b/o's are? I am not implying that these guys are dirty, but it's human nature to party once in a while and NYCT's b/o's know in the back of their mind that they can get called anytime. If a b/o doesn't have that cloud hanging over his head, it's human nature to push the envelope once in a while.

QM1to6Ave Posted July 5, 2010 Share #11 Posted July 5, 2010 Skyliner is being contracted to operate the service as Transport Azumah doesn't have enough buses to cover the service. If he is that busy to need to contract out, then I guess the runs are doing ok for now. And for those who question about random drug testing, etc, there are so many private tour bus-type lines out there, even forgetting the sketchy china town routes, that you can ask those questions about all of them. There is no reason to single out this company, unless someone knows something that I don't about this company (and I really don't know anything about it).
