Harry Posted July 4, 2010 Share #1 Posted July 4, 2010 Bikinis, umbrellas and bottles of sunblock dotted the Coney Island shoreline Saturday as New Yorkers did their best to beat the heat. Children ran into the ocean, then turned around with shrieks of delight as the cold water nipped their feet. Some beachgoers simply splayed out on towels, soaking in the sun rays. Others found solace on the jetties and cast fishing lines into the water. Lower East Side resident Janet Rosa, 33, said she came out to Coney Island to spend some quality time with her daughter. "It's beautiful. The weather is perfect," Rosa said as she lay out on a towel. She preferred to bronze in the sun rather than a dip in the water. "It's not too cold to go, but too cold for me," she said. Families flocked to Luna Park, along the boardwalk. Howls of laughter and screams of terror filled the air as rides whipped around. KNIGHTRIDER3:16 Posted July 5, 2010 Share #2 Posted July 5, 2010 VeI've been there a couple of times so far and from what Ive seen would be packed and packed with peeps but thing were biz is slow well maybe if the prices were not so ugh for A Dora the Explorer balloon and hot dog then us poor folk can buy stuff and enjoy but when A fam of 5 go and spend mad dough on stuff that is mad cheap at other places of course this mght be A prob.
