R44 CNG Posted July 7, 2010 Share #1 Posted July 7, 2010 When coming into 67th or 63rd the train slows down, which isn't an everyday thing and then I hear a weird sound, I heard this three days straight, on the 1st day i saw a bright large spark coming from outside the car...Any reason? m7zanr160s Posted July 8, 2010 Share #4 Posted July 8, 2010 I notice there's no timers on the local track for that section. It seems as if the locals do a high 30 to 40 mph there. Why is there a speed check on the express track?
Ms. W Supporter Posted July 8, 2010 Share #5 Posted July 8, 2010 Random note: ...around Woodhaven, the express seems to go really fast...and they make that cool "speeding" sound. I don't know what causes that sound...maybe the tracks..?
INDman Posted July 8, 2010 Share #6 Posted July 8, 2010 When sections of CWR (continues welded rail) are new, trains passing over it make an unusual sound untill the trail has been worn in. Since I am not familiar with this section and weather or not work has been done, what I am suggesting is only a thought.
