ripple Posted July 9, 2010 Share #1 Posted July 9, 2010 I've always loved trains, and now that i've been doing this commute for 1 year it's time to get creative with it I always get to the station as the 7:13 pulls in so I grabbed my new camera (which also does HD video) and away we go... GB station Looking north on the southbound tracks. Love the curve. Road of steel Check these out in HD  M3A approaching GB, 7:13 to GCT M7 leaving GB 7:14 to Southeast after meeting the southbound 7:13 to GCT My 7:25 Bombardier with Genesis to GCT approaching GB Inside the Bombardier crossing Park Ave bridge approaching 125th. GCT Grand Concourse at morning rush GCT is just amazing... Ah fresh air, out to Park Avenue... Good evening folks, 5:43 Harlem Line train to Southeast making stops at Chappaqua, Mt Kisco, Bedford Hills, Katonah, Goldens Bridge, Purdys, Croton Falls, Brewster, and Southeast. We do not, do not, do not stop at White Plains.

ripple Posted July 9, 2010 Author Share #5 Posted July 9, 2010 Thanks! The station is nothing special but interestingly this is where the Harlem line used to split off to a connecting branch to the Putnam line and link up with it right near my home in Baldwin Place. I plan on getting some images of what is left of that and I will share. One of the trestles over the Croton Reservoir is still in place and you can follow most of the ROW all the way to the Old Put. The Putnam main line ROW is paved over and became the North County Trailway.

PATCOman Posted July 10, 2010 Share #8 Posted July 10, 2010 Slammin pics and vids! I drove right by Goldens Bridge station on Route 684 several times. I don't like that section of Park Avenue in the 4th to last pic because there is only 1 traffic signal for each intersection and it is in a poor position.
