w8Hou Posted July 10, 2010 Share #11 Posted July 10, 2010 Just to update from the news report: Subway service on the , and lines were delayed Friday afternoon after a man was killed at the 125th Street and Lexington Avenue stop. The fire department and transit authority did not have details on how the man died, but witnesses on the scene said he may have thrown himself in front of a subway car. “It was so messed up. It was so messed up,” said Bronx resident Flora Evans, 54. Evans, who sells water outside the station, said the man had been milling about all morning. At 11 a.m., she saw him go down into the station. Witnesses on the downtown express platform said they saw the man put his hands together as if praying around noon and jump in front of an oncoming subway car. The fire department arrived on the scene around 12:14 and pronounced the man dead. They would not confirm whether the death was a suicide. Train service resumed by 1:30 p.m., with residual delays, according to the MTA’s website. link: http://www.dnainfo.com/20100709/east-harlem/man-found-dead-at-125-st-lexington-ave-subway-stop
553 Bridgeton Posted July 10, 2010 Share #12 Posted July 10, 2010 If these people want to off them selves why not do it some other way. Now the T/O has to piss in a cup because of him.
IRT Bronx Express Posted July 10, 2010 Share #13 Posted July 10, 2010 Yep, they obviously don't care if they delay service if they want to end their life by jumping in front of the train. Either way, 12-9s are definitely common this year.
Roadcruiser1 Posted July 10, 2010 Share #14 Posted July 10, 2010 Really is this the year of deaths and suicides on our subway come on for months now all we have been hearing is people killing themselves and stupid people getting hurt or killed by trying to get their belongings on the track or getting hit by a train because they were trying to catch the right train Come on really is this the year of stupidity on the subway or are people just becoming dumber and this is a reason that we should put platform screen doors on our subway because people have terrible behavior on our subway lines and causing the headaches I mean they already have trouble
