NJ Transit teams up with Google on trip planning

Under a deal to be announced Wednesday, travelers will be able to use Google Transit to get trip times and transfers between 164 rail stations and 60 light rail stations.

The information will be integrated with Google Maps.

More than 30 transportation agencies around the country now offer Google trip planning, but NJ Transit is the first in the Northeast.

NJ Transit bus information is to be added later this year.
